Back at the Palace

Romanus is quite similar to Simbat's Roman Palace. The reel sets are nicely framed by the tall marble columns of the palace, while the rest of the screen is occupied by interactive paytables and credit meters. The game has been made by Simbat and is inspired by the Roman empire. However, unlike Roman Palace, it is easier to play than you might think.

Eyes on the Prize

Automatically whenever you are 1 symbol short to a win. You will begin on the lower reel set, which contains 3 reels and 1 payline that crosses them horizontally right in the middle. To win, you need to make sure that specific symbols land onto those paylines and trigger cash prizes. Each spin costs 1 credit, which will be taken from your stash each time you start a new turn. After a win, all payouts are automatically gambled and, with a little luck, doubled instantly.

A Classic Paytable, With a Few Surprises

Bells on the payline. You can expect a win stretching from 4 to 200 credits at once for a combination of 3 bells on the payline. The soldier symbol, unlike all the other reel symbols, doesn't really care about the payline at all. Each of them awards a prize of 20 credits. This is a little special as it does not really care about the payline at all.

Levelling Up

From your initial wins on the base game. Higher bets are placed on 5 paylines, while rewards span between 40 and 200 credits. The higher level bets are placed on 5 paylines, while the smaller number that appear between the reels can award you nudges. Romanus also features 4 extra bet levels that are played on lower reel sets and with a different paytable. Each bet will cost just as many credits, which will come from your initial wins on the base game.
